Read 718 has a short program running from July 5-28 and is in need of excellent volunteer literacy tutors to work one-on-one with children. All of our students are reading below grade level and come from low-income families. They will train and work closely with the volunteers to ensure quality instruction. “READ 718 is a nonprofit organization located in Brooklyn, NY providing individualized literacy instruction and mentorship to low-income students in grades 3-8 who are reading below grade level.”
