Therapy opportunity for LIU Post graduate students and a small group of undergraduate students, to observe and/or participate as “helpers’” during the semester. The undergraduate students perform such tasks as making coffee, helping to keep the area neat, and overall assisting in any way they can, in order to also observe the group speech therapy sessions that are being conducted.

Under the coordination of the LIU Post Sustainability Committee, several initiatives have been started which could benefit from student volunteers. These initiatives include the LIU Post Recycling Program and the Green Office Program.

Finding few options to help, they created their own organization to address the problems from the ground up. New York Cares is now the city’s largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools.
